After building a house or if you already have a house, go to the nameplate and press H to mark the farmhand on this property. This will cost 20 Labor.

Farmhands Farming
Your Farmhands is filled with Vigor points and Labor? Fantastic!
Now grab a Farm/Garden design (see the list below) and plants/seeds or livestock to grow and select the "Farm" window with the Farmhand menu (Shift+H).

Select the Farm/Garden Design you have and add it to the Farmhand menu. Once you're done, Click on "Open Bag" to select the plants/livestock you want to grow. Be careful of the Farm Capacity and the Farmhand Capacity your plant/livestock requires. Select the wanted quantity your Farmhand will work with, and on Start!
You'll be able to see how long this task will take for your Farmhand to finish it.
How to change your Farmhand appearance
You will need a Powerstone Pet to change your Farmhand's appearance.
Farmhand Leveling
As your Farmhand completes more tasks for you, it can level up! Currently, the maximum level of Farmhands is 35. At certain levels, your Farmhand unlocks various features and functionalities:

Additional Cultivation Request slots and Trade slots can be unlocked by using Expansion Scrolls.

Farmhands can specialize in different types of work: Trade, Gathering, Farming, Logging and Husbandry.
They also have specific gear for each specialization.
Trade
This gear will give additional stats to your Farmhand and increase their efficiency in Trade!
This gear can be crafted on a Leather Workbench, and costs 100 Labor.
Gathering
This gear will give additional stats to your Farmhand and increase their efficiency in Gathering!
Farming
This gear will give additional stats to your Farmhand and increase their efficiency in Farming!
Logging
This gear will give additional stats to your Farmhand and increase their efficiency in Logging!
Husbandry
This gear will give additional stats to your Farmhand and increase their efficiency in Husbandry!
