The need for an anchor on a merchant ship is simple. There are those who would harpoon a merchant while it's being unloaded and try to drag it out from the safety of the trade zone. Anchors/harpoons on merchants help prevent this.

If you block her, if you don't speak to her, if you have zero communication with her, how is s he going to possibly use any term of endearment with you? It's absolutely astounding the lack of simple comprehension when it comes the block system and how it works.
