I don't think they ever approved specific ones.
Ironlady made this thread (https://na.archerage.to/forums/index.php?threads/fov-mod-links.2156) for people to post their FOV mods after the new anti cheat started. While she never officially approved any, she did point out the ones that were not acceptable.
Personally, I use saph v4 since launch of game and haven't had any issues. It and v3 are both linked in that thread and Ironlady had nothing bad to say about them.
As for the one that zooms out super far, I believe they all have the ability to modify max distance but you have to manually tweak one of the values in the mod installer. This link has instructions to do it with salp, tho its partially wrong (http://forums.archeagegame.com/show...-to-Increase-the-Max-Distance-for-the-FoV-Mod). Instead of changing cl_fov everywhere like the OP says, keep it 90 and find camera_max_dist and make it "camera_max_dist = 200", but everything else in his instructions is fine. Good luck

Switched FOVs last night from saph v4 to v3. Its standard settings already has exactly what you are looking for with the super zoom but only after mounting and dismounting. http://saphrex.de/saphrex_fov_v3.zip

None from the FOV mods mentioned in https://na.archerage.to/forums/index.php?threads/fov-mod-links.2156/ were disapproved. In the opposite case we would inform everyone.
