General
• Adjusted the names and functionality of specific debuffs:
◦ Freeze is now called Frostbite.
◦ Deep Freeze is now called Freeze.
◦ All debuffs that slow a target's move speed are called Slow.
◦ Bleeding is now considered Melee Damage (previously was Magic Damage) and cannot be evaded, parried, or blocked.
◦ Players can no longer turn while they are Snared.
• Debuffs have been adjusted to fade off in 30 seconds. Repeated debuffs will decrease their duration: Rank 2 will cause a 25% penalty, Rank 3 will cause a 50% penalty, and Rank 4 will provide debuff immunity.
• Added an immunity rule for fixed area debuffs: After getting a debuff that stays fixed in a location, players gain a 3 second immunity to the same type of debuff. Relevant to: Frigid Tracks, Mist Bubble Trap, Cursed Thorn.
• Added the target option to the aforementioned AoE immunity rule: If the skill directly grants a debuff to multiple targets, the targets gain the immunity to the same type of debuff. Relevant to: Basic/Flame Hell Spear, Basic/Mist/Stone Banshee Wail.
• Added an Invincibility Limit rule: When Invincibility is triggered, a new Invincibility Prevention debuff begins and lasts 15 seconds. While this buff is active, the character cannot receive any other Invincibility buff and cannot use any skill that grants Invincibility/Immunity.
• AoE debuffs can now affect up to 8 targets. Other AoE skills max target number has been adjusted.
A few notes before we begin:
1: All skills are shown at Ancestral level 7.
2: For active skills, only changed/added/removed effects are shown.
3: Due to the large amount of changes to each tree’s passives, complete passive tooltips have been included.
Universal Skill Changes
1. Two passives in each skill tree are now part of that tree’s Abyssal skills. They cannot be accessed unless you choose that tree to be your Abyssal skill tree.
2. The passives that generate Abyssal Charges (such as Indomitable Rage for Defense, or Gleeful Destruction for Occultism) now grant small amounts of charge for every non-abyssal skill used. Some skills are worth more Abyssal Charge than others.
3. Rising Hatred (the abyssal skill that increases your max charges to 6) no longer costs Abyssal Charges to cast. However, it also no longer doubles your Abyssal Charge generation.
4. Electric Shock no longer grants immunity when it expires. (The only exception is the Greater Electric Shock effect from Lightning Meteor Strike).
5. Snare effects now prevent the target from turning their character for the duration.
6. Petrify, Telekinesis, Bubble Trap, Deep Freeze, and Frozen Solid are all now classified as “Confinement” effects.
7. Skills that have already been used and are currently on cooldown are now referred to as “active cooldowns.” There are a number of new effects that only interact with active cooldowns.
