Hi ArcheRagers!
You've got really impatient recently, so we decided to lift the veil a bit and reply several important questions you've asked.
  • What is the next global update that we are getting? - It's 4.7. NA official servers called it 4.5 phase 4 and 5, so you may be more used to knowing it like that, but we'll follow the Korean wording here and will call it same way as they did as this incoming patch has a few very important updates.
  • When are we going to get the next global update? - Expect 4.7 to be released in approx 1 month. It's just an approximate time right now as not everything is ready for the release yet, but we hope to be within this time frame (our hands are full and we are doing our best!). For more accurate information follow on the news on our forums or in this thread from me.
  • Have you already started the work on 4.7? - Yes, main custom updates we wanted to provide you with during 4.5 are now released, so we are giving our main attention now to the preparation of 4.7.
  • Will we have a PTS? - No, PTS didn't prove their effectiveness previously, so we decided to abandon this updates implementation model.
  • When will we have official patch notes? - They will be posted shortly prior the release and will include custom updates and accurate release date.
We leave this thread open for further discussion, so feel free to share your thoughts, suggestions and ideas (even if they are a bit crazy) on the next update. Feel free to post anything that you think will be a good custom addition to the update. We can't promise we'll release all your ideas but can promise we'll check all the posts and discuss all your suggestions.
To have better understanding on some main updates that 4.7 brings us, check THIS THREAD.
That is not the final information and some of the updates mentioned there may be changed or not applied, depending on the feedbacks of the players and our own experience.
Final Patch Notes that will also include the exact release date and Custom updates will be posted a bit later.
Thread is now open for discussion.

Hi,

- Don't remove royal seeds and scented leaf from single plants: for the people who harvest wild plants they are good drops.

- Do not change the lunafrost system, it is TERRIBLE. Let us keep crafting them.
-> "Added new Lunafrosts to drop from crates: Cracked Lunafrosts, Whole Lunafrosts, and Flawless Lunafrosts. Opening one of these Lunafrosts will generate a random type of statistic increase. Previously generated Lunafrosts will be able to be traded and sold as normal. New Lunafrosts are bind on pickup. Salvaging a Lunafrost will generate lunarite."

- Do not add this change. DO NOT CHANGE LARCENY AT ALL, because it killed the proficiency and your custom larceny is amazing, don't remove it please:
"Regrade Braziers and Radiant Archeum Saplings have been removed from crates and are now purchased directly from the Vocation Badge shop for 200 badges."

- Do not add charcoal to pots etc, it is ridiculous...

- Do not remove abyssal crystal drops from greater dungeons
-> "Abyssal Shards and Abyssal Crystals will drop in the following quantities from dungeon bosses.
  • Greater Dungeons: Abyssal Shard x8-10"
- Do not change this: "Adjusted the items for a Recovery Pouch: Leather increased from 1 to 5, Labor increased from 25 to 50."

- DO NOT ADD THIS FFS !!!!!!

leave crafting and packs alone. don't remove obsidian.

add new and keep old. this gives players the choice and then you can see trends and make decisions based on real data from this player base.

Many of us came here because we were dismayed by the changes in Live. Please don't make this another Live fiasco.

Basically what Aviendha said. In particular charcoal for pots. Our server isnt part of a cluster with many more potatoes running packs all day long to keep charcoal supplies up. prices will get stupid if pots start requiring charcoal.

Removing braziers/trees from crates is awful, they're a good income for people who farm purses a ton.

Didn't include Avihendha's points to shorten this list

Don't implement:
1. "In Archeum Trees, the chance for the tree to drop Archeum Shards and Archeum Crystals has been dramatically reduced" - crystals are in super high demand, don't make it worse
2. "Lunafrosts and Experience potions can now drop from Crates." - adding unwanted stuff to loot tables
3. "Weapon Attack speed will affect both the speed and damage of melee skills" - buff already meta class?....
4. "Removed the Auroria Loot Specialty Pack recipes" - trading nerf
5. "Removed Lunafrost recipes. Related Crafting Requests can be salvaged. Lunafrosts can now be found in Merchant’s, Noble’s, Jester’s, Prince’s, Queen’s, and Ancestral Crates." - crafting nerf
6. "Removed the following recipes: Wooden Reel, Bamboo Fishing Pole Frame, Steel Fishing Pole Frame, Springy Steel Fishing Pole Frame, Gilt Fishing Pole Frame, Archeum Fishing Pole Frame." - how do you level handicraft now???
7. "Adjusted the items for a Recovery Pouch: Leather increased from 1 to 5, Labor increased from 25 to 50." - sunken chests give crap, just making it an even bigger money dump
8. "Increased the amount of stone bricks required to a craft a larder from 5 to 10. Increased the amount of iron ingots required to craft a larder from 5 to 10." - already costs like 7 gold equivalent to make a larder
9. "Chopped Fish Bucket has been changed to Chum Bucket. Crafting material change - previously Pike x10, changed to Bait Worm x60 and Ground Grain x40." - auto fishing nerf, while leveling alts you get a lot of pike
10. "The timer on fishing rods decreases while offline." - do new rods have an expiration?
11. "Max Health is different per the types of fish; a type of fish has the same max health regardless of the size." - if fish tanks are full but you have 2 empty hooks how do you know hooked fish is a gargantuan?
12. "Added a Treasure Mimic that drops "Fisherman's Herbs," which increases the Fishing Proficiency by 50,000 for 10 minutes, and can only be used on Mirage Isle." - fishing proficiency doesn't work in mirage afaik.
13. "Dungeon Gear Changes" - scrap all the changes, gimping max grade is bad
14. "Kraken can be killed by Siege Damage." - unfair to the kraken, make PN work for it
15. "Removed the Mysterious Crates on Auroria." - exploration nerf

Implement:
1. Royal seeds/leafs from seedbeds (40% chance for 5 since its equivalent to many bundles)
2. Increase pack payouts for those with increased material costs in 4.5
3. Salvage dungeon weapons for Archeum Ore, there's far too much demand and no good way to get it
4. Halve labor cost of crafting Taxes
5. Remove tax cut for request board orders
6. Increase stack size of butterflies to 1000 (Cabbage White Butterfly, Blue Morpho Butterfly, Sulfur Butterfly, Scarlet Peacock Butterfly)
7. Resplendescent Ship Component Scrolls: take lucky starpoint to make them like accessory scrolls
8. 100% chance increase of big ticket items from RNG boxes, or remove Placeholders from master loot table of RNG boxes (far too many to list)
9. GCD reduction item that would go in some gear slot: would disable combat but also decrease cooldown between planting to 1 second (make it a quest or something that would take an hour to get)
10. AUTO-OPEN Family/Guild/Daily missions on reset (prevent daily snafu's)

Fix:
1. Treasure Hunt day quests not showing up at midnight reset
2. Not being able to change gear while playing songcraft songs, even out of combat
3. Not being able to owner's mark freighter by nui, also not able to grab pack from freighter while in nui
4. Collection breather not giving anywhere near 30% claimed speedboost (only gives +0.8ms with crest boxes and dual mythic sails)
5. (Optional) Mages, just reduce their damage by 50% across the board to make it remotely fair to other classes
6. Black Sabrefang only gives +5% move speed if player carries pack riding a donkey

Agreeing with several other lists already posted. To be thorough, here is a list of what stood out most to me.

Please NO:
  • Royal Seed and Scented Leaf are dropped from harvesting bundles, instead of seeds.
  • Regrade Braziers and Radiant Archeum Saplings have been removed from crates and are now purchased directly from the Vocation Badge shop for 200 badges.
  • In Archeum Trees, the chance for the tree to drop Archeum Shards and Archeum Crystals has been dramatically reduced.
  • Removing the items that use to be dropped from Sungold Fields, Exeloch, and Golden Ruins monsters: Possessed Topaz, Haunted Obsidian, Bone chips, Forbidden Spellgems, and Ritual Aquamarines.
  • Removed the discontinued crafting materials from the following recipes: Cursed Obsidian, Ominous Obsidian, Cloaked Brimstone Obsidian, and Cloaked Delphinad Cloak.
  • Adjusted the recipes available from Apothecary's Villa.
    • Mossy Pool: removed Iris, Thistle, Cornflower, and Aloe; added 1 Charcoal Stabilizer.
    • Kraken's Might: removed Aloe, Cornflower, Thistle, and Iris; added 1 Charcoal Stabilizer.
    • Desert Fire: removed Lavender, Mushroom, Narcissus, and Lily; added 1 Charcoal Stabilizer.
    • Nui's Nova: removed Ginkgo Leaf, Lotus, Mushroom, and Lavender; added 1 Charcoal Stabilizer.
    • Deluxe Sandwich: removed Barley, Garlic, Yam, and Strawberry; added 1 Charcoal Stabilizer.
    • Hearty Soup: removed Barley, Tomato, Pumpkin, and Rosemary; added 1 Charcoal Stabilizer.
  • Adjusted the items for a Recovery Pouch: Leather increased from 1 to 5, Labor increased from 25 to 50.
  • All zones in the game are now classified with a trade prefix: Luxury, Fine, Commercial, and Preserved. Different prefixes denote how fast you may need to move a pack to a Trade Outlet in order to receive a bonus or maximum profit.
    • Luxury Zones: Solzreed Peninsula, Two Crowns, Cinderstone Moor, Solis Headlands, Villanelle.
    • Fine Zones: Dewstone Plains, Lilyut Hills, Marianople, Mahadevi, Tigerspine Mountains, Falcorth Plains.
    • Commercial Zones: Gweonid Forest, Aubre Cradle, White Arden, Airain Rock, Karkasse Ridgelands, Arcum Iris, Ynystere, Silent Forest, Sunbite Wilds.
    • Preserved Zones: Halcyona, Sanddeep, Hellswamp, Ahnimar, Windscour Savannah, Rookborne Basin, Perinoor Ruins, Rokhala Mountains, Hasla.
  • Increased the amount of stone bricks required to a craft a larder from 5 to 10.
  • Increased the amount of iron ingots required to craft a larder from 5 to 10.

This stuff sounds cool though:
  • The 2h Weapon Equip effect has been adjusted. It now adds Melee Range +1m and Magic/Healing Skill range +2m.
  • Reduced the required amount of materials from the following recipes:
    • Whole Grain Bread: Barley 10 > 5
    • Vegetable Bread: Garlic 8 > 5
    • Sweet Bread: Yam 6 > 2
    • Simple Sandwich: Barley 3 > 2
    • Whole Grain Soup: 20 > 5
    • Vegetable Soup: Tomato 10 > 5
    • Sweet Soup: Pumpkin 5 > 2
    • Fragrant Soup: Rosemary 3 > 2
  • Increased the amount of Charcoal Stabilizers granted when turning in Nuian or Haranyan Cargo at a Trade Outlet.

One i'm unsure about:
  • Improved the plant placing system. Plants can now be lined up easily via a grid system.
Is this a forced grid? As in, will we still be able to plant what we want where we want for purpose of decoration or organization? There are very few cases where i would be okay with a grid, as i have my own way of planting. If it is a forced grid, i vote no. However, if it is optional, thus allowing those who want the grid to use it, while those of us who don't want it don't have to, then i vote yes.

And as for the fishing changes:
  • Max Health is different per the types of fish; a type of fish has the same max health regardless of the size.
Please no. As previously stated, sometimes you're better off letting a smaller fish go and trying for a larger fish due to space available on your boat, or trying to complete the title quests, or trying to maximize profit, or looking for a specific trophy for your house, or time management ("is this fish worth the time it will take to catch it?").

As others have already said, many times, here and elsewhere, the appeal of the ArcheRage server is to avoid the severe changes to the live servers, to get back to how things were before their updates ruined the game for them. This patch is a lot of change to gear, trading, crafting, and fishing. If people left the live servers because of these changes, and came here to enjoy the game how it was... what happens when those same changes happen here?

1-Removed the Mysterious Crates on Auroria. either nerf or remove works 500g is too much for a known location/spawn timer crate
2-Regrade Braziers and Radiant Archeum Saplings have been removed from crates and are now purchased directly from the Vocation Badge shop for 200 badges. but they also increased the gold from ancestral purses and decreased labor cost for crates so its good now, before you spend 45 labor for 12 trees/braziers so 6g so crates wasnt really good income compared to the labor cost
3-Weapon Attack speed will affect both the speed and damage of melee skills.
4-1 second is now the default weapon attack speed. A weapon that is faster than 1 second deals less damage but hits faster. i dont get this change, so now melees with full attack speed gems will deal less dmg ?
5-Added a new basic skill "Defiance." what does this skill do
6-
Adjusted the recipes available from Apothecary's Villa.
  • Mossy Pool: removed Iris, Thistle, Cornflower, and Aloe; added 1 Charcoal Stabilizer.
  • Kraken's Might: removed Aloe, Cornflower, Thistle, and Iris; added 1 Charcoal Stabilizer.
  • Desert Fire: removed Lavender, Mushroom, Narcissus, and Lily; added 1 Charcoal Stabilizer.
  • Nui's Nova: removed Ginkgo Leaf, Lotus, Mushroom, and Lavender; added 1 Charcoal Stabilizer.
  • Deluxe Sandwich: removed Barley, Garlic, Yam, and Strawberry; added 1 Charcoal Stabilizer.
  • Hearty Soup: removed Barley, Tomato, Pumpkin, and Rosemary; added 1 Charcoal Stabilizer.
so its just 1 charcoal per 10 potions/10 sanwich/10soup instead of all other mats i see no problem with that

Its 400g, and Its still entirely rng whether you get the crate or not and requires effort to run around the map finding them.

Predita statue nerfed from 1000gold to 100g and it does require waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more effort to get it and less chance to get unlike mysterious crates even at treasure hunt day theres only 1 or 0 statues being found yet mysterious crates pop from 2 to 6 times every 3 hours "the repsawn timer" for it

Would like to add to that that Perditas got nerfed to 200g on live at some point too.

Basically what Aviendha said. In particular charcoal for pots. Our server isnt part of a cluster with many more potatoes running packs all day long to keep charcoal supplies up. prices will get stupid if pots start requiring charcoal.

Not only that, it also ruins the gathering proficiency by making a lot of plants redundant. What use are the improved bundles if half the drops aren't used anymore?

There are people patiently farm their mats, and forcing them to either do TR or buy charcoal to keep crafting pots is demoralising.

It isn't a forced grid, it just makes planting easier, can still plant around the grid too tho it will take some getting used to as it snaps your plants etc. into place sorta easily.

Afaik it has no effect on house decoration.
