Their server will be located in NA. Where in NA? That's the main question.
It's not the first time this pops up and I'm repeating myself everytime, but here is why I think they can be in NA and still be fine.
1)Their current server is in France. France isn't a third world country; they have copyright infringement laws. If it was as easy as a C&D letter in the mail to take it down, Trion would have done it a long time ago as their ArcheRageRU server has been bleeding Trion's EU population dry and it's been up, without a pause, since February 2017.
2)The reason why I think #1 isn't a fluke or just an oversight on Trino's part is because this server and its affiliates are registered in the Kingdom of Tonga. Where a company is registered is a lot more important than where it has servers. Tonga is a tax haven (well, it's not a tax haven per se, but close enough).
3)If #1 and #2 isn't enough to reassure you, I'd add that NA isn't a monolithic bloc. Sure, Canada and the USA cooperate closely, but the east coast also covers most of the Antilles, where a lot of very small countries with very convenient laws do exist.
I'm sure they'll play it smart. They've done it for the EU/RU one.
