Getting back lost scarecrow

Is there anyway to restore a lost scarecrow i know usually you don't but i have no idea if it was deleted .I did the 16x16 quest and cannot downgrade it because i'm missing the farmer workstation needed to downgrade. I spent 10 hours yesterday looking for a spot for 16x16 and not a single spot was available for that size and do not have the gold to afford the prices on houses. I would really like to play but this is causing me to not be able to craft things needed.
 
The 16x from quest does not have anything to do with the farmer's workstation. For that you need the 8x8 from quest, which you upgrade into either the workstation or the improved 16x. If you do have the improved 16x, you can use an evenstone on it to get the 8x8 back. Do NOT evenstone the other 16x.
 
So i screwed up and evenstoned because of posts i saw before this saying I could get the smaller farm so im just playing an alt on her farm but after leveling and all this work i might just say forget it and not play.
