New Player with some questions to the veterans

So I have been a BDO player since launch but lately that game has suffered from the following:

CC locking, insta killing time to kill even at TET gear, and And simply no group activities are worth doing anymore

I decided to check out archerage since archeage is a mess.

so far I am enjoying my time questing about, I just hit level 50 as a Primeval as I like to play a range class and it feels good so far.

so my questions are:

Is this class choice good?

whats the TTK like?

how long would it take for me to catch up to other players?

how open are guilds to new players?

whats the best way to make money?

what should I do next after hitting 50 when all my quests are now in PVP zones?


my goals: reach good gear PVP with my faction and guild and of course have a house and all.

Primeval is a good class yes, maybe look into Ebonsong as well.

whats the TTK like?

TTK depends on gear, class skill combos, buffs of you and your opponent. Best to experience it by playing the game.

how long would it take for me to catch up to other players?

If you dedicate the time available to you wisely and are open to learn, yes you can catch up to other players.

how open are guilds to new players?

Generally guilds are open to new players, however some require you to have a certain gear level.

whats the best way to make money?

Best way to make gold is your choice. There are a lot of proficiencies you can specialise in and each has their own charm. Ofc there's an economy like everywhere else so be wise when buying and selling mats.

what should I do next after hitting 50 when all my quests are now in PVP zones?

Keep leveling and once you hit 52 decide what you want to use your labor for in regards to gold making.
Also make sure to grind stuff like honor, vocation badges, the various reward tokens, guild prestige points, etc. You're gonna need them to level, upgrade gear, etc.

as far as TTK goes does it feel like that once you are geared there is much 1 shotting cause thats what I am trying to avoid


since Im completely new to archage as a game entirely is there any guides you can point me to for honor, vocation badges, and reward/ guild tokens

and a question I missed how do I access dungeons? Ive been trying to find the queue but havent been able to find it?

The only class you might be weary of are Darkrunners, they do focus their gear on crit builds. But I only ever experienced one player that had a 2 hit combo nearly every time. So one shotting, usually not.

There is no dungeon queue system. You can look for a group in faction or nation chat, and port to a dungeon in the dungeon tab of your teleport book. After porting, you can enter the normal or the hard mode by pressing the right key.
