Question about greatly varying value of trade packs

Hey folks. I've noticed something about the worth of trade packs that I don't quite understand.

Today I picked up a Hellswamp Preserved Gilda Specialty someone else made and carried it to Two Crowns, where it was worth a whopping 61G 7S 35C (I have a screenshot of that to prove it). Then I went back to Hellswamp, crafted that same pack myself, and got only 30-something gold in 2C for it.

I do realize that I won't get all the gold from the first pack because its maker will get their cut too, but I've noticed the same discrepancy with Cargo packs. I once turned in an Auroran cargo that I found floating on the arcadian sea (I didn't kill the owner, and I didn't know that packs can float either) in Two Crowns and got 43 Onyx, but only 30 when I made such a pack myself. I have screenshots of these two too, and the one that gave 43 shows even lower demand and value (112% and 100%) than the one that gave 30 (123% and 115%).

What am I not getting here?

Commerce increases payout on both ends, if the crafter has say 230k then the payout you would receive when turning in would be higher than if someone were to be 0 commerce

Player 1 crafts hellswamp preserved gilda at 230k (increases gold payout potential on craft)
player 1 turns in hellswamp preserved gilda at 230k (increased gold payout on turn in as well)

those packs specifically you talked about can be sold for almost 100g at max prof (sometimes over 100g if the turn in is at 130%

now if we change it to player 2 turns in hellswamp preserved gilda at say 0k the original craft 230k will still be applied but the follow up turn in 230k will not since the person turning in has less

that is why when you craft the pack you get way less gold because i assume your commerce is WAY lower

same applies to cargo packs.

every 10,000 commerce points you have increases the amount of gold you will receive.

ow if we change it to player 2 turns in hellswamp preserved gilda at say 0k the original craft 230k will still be applied but the follow up turn in 230k will not since the person turning in has less

@Mailvaltar Would like to add that it takes the average commerce of the moment of creation and the moment of turn-in. So in that example, the average commerce boost would be 115k and increase the price of the pack as such.

For details on commerce, check this thread.
