Welcome to the ArcheRage Weekly Lottery!

The one component ArcheRage is missing from most other MMORPG's is an awesome lotto system - and I'm hoping to change that! Welcome to the first ever, ArcheRage weekly Lottery!

How it works:

Send your mail to "Winner" in-game with the gold you'd like to enter. Each 1 gold will equal 1 ticket. You can mail me as many times as you wish, your gold will be added up and equal that amount of tickets (22g 50s = 22 tickets).

When does it start:

The lotto will start today (Friday) and the drawing will be next Saturday.

The Rules:

-Every ticket will be entered into this random name picker.
-For every 1 gold sent = 1 ticket, any extra silver received will be considered a tip.
-Anyone on the entire server can play, regardless of faction or race.
-No gold will be taken from the mail until after the drawing.
-I will not be active on the account, only to login and confirm entries.
-Anyone can mail as many times as you wish, amount of gold = tickets.
-You don't have to be online to win, the winner will be mailed the gold.
-I am not allowed to enter into the lottery.
-The drawing will be recorded and uploaded for all to see.
-If funds have not been collected by winner after 10 days, they will be held for the next lotto.

Everyone is encouraged to share this lotto with their friends, and in the server - the more people enter, the more gold there is to win!

I'm absolutely willing to work with the moderators to ensure a fair drawing and safe delivery of funds to the winner. I understand this is the first drawing so people may have concerns, hopefully as the weeks pass, everyone will be comfortable entering.

This is my first time doing something like this so I'm eager to hear your feedback on different types of lottos or how I can improve the game in the future.

The house keeps a small % of the total pot when the winner is drawn.

No one is obligated to enter. If you don't want to take a risk for reward - don't enter.

If I get some money ill cautiously put my hand into this just to see how it rolls, hopefully you can build a legitimate name for yourself xD
 
I appreciate the feedback. Hopefully it all goes well and can really make an impact on the game going forward.

Also update to the few people sending 1 gold: 1 gold means you have 1 ticket to win, the more gold you send, the more times you're entered into the lotto :)

25 gold means your name is entered 25 times :)
 
I don't know about this. I'm not a gambler, so I won't be entering.

But I think you're a genius for thinking it up. You're probably going to end up as the richest person on the server :p. Governments and casinos have been milking the system like this forever. So if you're for real and actually pay people their winnings, then you are gonna make bank!

I'm very excited we've raised over 400 gold in the first few hours. This has the potential to be something huge - so eager to see who wins next week :oops::oops::oops:
 
I don't like this, not with the current situation with hackers and all.
At least if they keep the gold on their alt/main accounts that gold might be eliminated when they get banned, now if they try to get in on this the gold is essentially clean and that's possibly a lot of gold coming into the economy.
 
I will try my luck, thanks blink brilliant idea, I will try it more to support these sort of activities and events
