3.0 Updates: Land and taxation

This does not solve the problem of people that quit the game logging on and prepaying taxes for weeks. This also does not solve the issue of people using their "family" to pay taxes on their land. The only people this hurts are the people that own 4-5 plots of land (whales don't care) and are labor tapped because they are not cheesing the system using alts. All this will do is encourage players to make alts to mass craft tax certs to the can pay taxes that way.

yeah, read the changes again. you are not convincing anybody crying here because you have "4 or 5" plots because here is still way easier than on official and for those amount is only 50% more, it will hurt like hell if you have 8+.

Btw, if you are gaping for labor everyday to keep all those plots and not getting enough gold, dude sell the excess or rearrange it because you doing it wrong but don't come with this half assed arguments that hurt must people , so you can save 10m of thinking.

Anyway if you know of those "Family" land lord report them so they can get banned(be sure they are not actual real people playing different computers because that it is allowed)

1. How are you not labor starved when playing this server. From this I assume that you don't actually play the game. Most people that played retail had 4-6 alts to not fix labor problems.
2. There is nothing stopping people from doing the family exploit because as it was pointed out by a former staff member bans are on a report basis and its hard to prove that its one person logging on different accounts (vpn or separate pc) .
3. There is no such things as enough gold.
4. This only hurts active players. Why do inactive people care what certs cost, they dont burn labor anyways.

I can promise you this change will not effect me in anyway.

1.) played enough time on official where labor starvation was a real thing, if you wanna do absolutely everything solo, yeah it may be an issue but if focus and balance what to buy and what to craft is actually very nice the labor amount here.

2.) maybe but in here is not much of an issue compared to official, they eventually will get banned as i've seen some already.

3.) of course there is, if you focus. except for regrades tho.

4.) hence inactive will eventually quit and open space for new players and existing players below 6 plots will adapt because is not that much more than before, especially if they manage their labor properly. After all labor regen is so uber fast it shouldn't be an issue unlike official where 5k labor take 48 hours to regen

Then no need for the salt, isn't it? or haven't you noticed pretty much no one is complaining outside you and the other guy who quitted

1. Didn't address the issue. We are only allowed 1 account compared to the many that were allowed on retail.

4. No inactive people did not stop paying taxes which is the main cause of the land problem increasing the taxes are not going to affect that.
Entitled new players will be the death of the server.

Edit Instead of finding a way to punish people playing the game the admins should look at a way to get the land off the people that don't play anymore and just login to pay taxes. (Maybe change patron)

People logging exclusively to pay taxes will not be much of a problem, they sooner than later will quit or will let some go once they actually wanna do something.

In the land case there is no 100% solution neither here or on Trino or Korea or Russia, stop trying to fix 100% of the problem because is a lost cause. This measures are not meant to hurt that corner case land baron that only ever log once a week to pay his 20 plots because archeage have way more than 20 plots available, the point is to hurt everyone else with more than 6-8 plots and still wanna play the game because they control the 90% of the land that they expect to free for new players.

This will also deter land hoarder/sellers because will be very hard for them to keep a profit while getting hammered with taxes outside starting to creating alt account while taking the risk of getting banned.

TIP: if you buy a demo plot take a screen of the character selling, if the dude log another character to demo to actually demo the plot take another screenshot and send a ticket. Wink Wink, of course if it is the same character the owner all is fine.
This is a fair point I didn't think about the aspect on the land sellers.
 
Hopefully the new tax system will drive away some of the squatters and force people to pack up land they are using. It is really sad when you see people who have quit the game come back just to pay taxes. They are basically cheating the people that actually want to play here. And I'm certain people are using multiple accounts to play the game. You see a number of houses under different names all with the same crops and being worked by one person. I realize that you'll see 8x8's and the improved 16x16's under different names because people will create alts on the same account to get the farms. But that wouldn't apply to housing. There is no reason to have houses under many different names. I know a place like that in White Arden. Upgraded thatched houses all grouped together. They are under 3 different names and all set to family. All have the same crops.
 
I would like to add that it is possible those houses are just a group of friends, a RL family or something else and not someone breaking the rules. I know my girlfriend and I play on here and we have a family setup. Of course we don't have a ton of property but we probably will when 3.0 comes up. Unlike so many, we will actually use our land.
 
Lunar and solar do not count as high tax buildings. You would taxed at the rate of 5 properties in this case.
so is this in regards to 3.0 only right? the whole lunar/solar not counting as a high tax multiplier? cause as of 2.9 i have 4 properties one being solar gazebo, and im paying slightly over base tax on the other 3 properties, because the solar gazebo adds to the multiplier but does not get affected by it?

1.) Still for crafting specifically was horrible have to level alts profs due to low labor, most players didn't have alts outside taxes and hardcore nolifers/whales crafters.
2.) i come from playing at Trino the worst game publishing company in the history of the industry, when you say few were banned it means to me, FUCK YEAH to me even if it was just 1, i mean even 1 ban mean this GM are 100% more effective than Trino.
3.) again, it depends on what you want to have, sure if you want 5 sets of 100% socketed mystic ayanad, sure you prolly won't ever make enough
4.) I do believe this change solve part of the problem but i can also agree something about inactive can be done as well, complimenting this fix

The multiplier taxes you as if you own 3 properties you still pay tax on the p2w farm but only 20 taxes on that farm for your case.
 
I honestly have no idea why people are being whiny about land .. I have been playing less then a month it is not impossible for a new player yo find land you just need to actually spend time looking I had 6..... 16x16s but gave 1 to a guildy and sold one to him cheap. So no it's not impossible .
 
There will be a ton more added into game here shortly as well with the release of 3.0
 
wow 500% increase really!? I dind't have time to craft 2,5k tax certs, i have one question, how many proficiency can i get to max lvl? How many can i have in one char? I need to make another char just to lvl up construction to craft tax certs at lower labor cost?

I want to know as well I already spent a whole bunch of specialisation flakes after people told me I can max all my proficiencys in 2.9 it would be a pain in the ass if that changes in 3.0 there shouldn't be a need to jump from character to character to do different things if I put in the time I should be able to max all proficiencys

I'm in the same situation. Spent tons on snowflakes so I didn't have to jump from character to character. Its gonna sting if all that's gone.

What makes you think you lose all the progression you made in your proficiency's will change with launch of 3.0? The max amount of xp goes up to 230 thousand so you will have to do some more leveling on them.

1.) up to 180k all your proficiencies stay at 180k like in 2.9 and can go with flakes up to 180k like in 2.9
2.) 3.0 set a fixed amount of proficiencies that can go up to 230k, aka not affected by flakes, by the server or anything else.
3.) the amount of profs that can go from 180k to 230k are hardcoded in numbers

Yes but you do not de level from 18ok you keep that so I'm trying to understand why people think the investment in snowflakes and time leveling to 180k they lose? You do not lose progression. Its true the mechanics of the game only allow a couple choices to max to 230k but you keep all the ones you had at 180k in 2.9.
