[Forum Event] Spooky Season II (handmade contest)

Spooky Season handmade contest returns! Time to plunge into the atmosphere of the most scary holiday of the year.

Your task is to create in real life an item or a costume that will match the one from ArcheRage world and have a Halloween theme.


Requirements:​

• It should be your own handmade creation.​
• On the photo of your finished handmade item include a piece of paper with words "ArcheRage Halloween 2023" and your IGN (both handwritten).​
• Include 3-5 photos:
  • 2-3 photos of the work on item in progress (hide under the spoiler).​
  • 1-3 photos of the finished item.​

Reward:
1st place - 5000 credits + Ravenspine Wings (wrapped) or Gloomwraith Kirin (wrapped)

Name of handmade creation: "Fred, the Mummy"

My idea: When creating my handmade creation, I was aiming into a halloween-themed mummy battle pet, it has also a small lore behind him. So at halloween night, a sarcophagus was struck by lightning, waking up the mummy, yet.. this mummy is not an agressive one, it's a poor lost soul, who is searching for help (aiming at player). That's why he looks a bit confused. As a battlepet he would come with some halloween skills, it's a mummy, so my idea was a curse spell which would increase received damage by 5%. Or a bandage attack which would snare enemies. That's just my fanmade idea!

Description: Creating this guy took me around 2 days, at start i had to make a humanoidal shape made from wire, then i had to stick a clay-type thing on that shape. After that he went into oven to be sturdy and after that i started to bandage him, adding some details etc. but i had a lot of fun with that!

After 2 days of carving, cutting, sewing, stuffing, gluing, painting, and wiring,
I present to you my version of the adorably spooky Kindled Spirit Powerstone Pet!

Award Preferences: Title 'Hound of Hell'
(Not sure if we are supposed to choose preferences of other rewards here too but I
would choose the Kirin or Fairy if for some reason I got lucky! )

Giving it a face to both spook and delight and voila! It's almost ready to float!

Halloween 2023
"I'm blue da ba dee da ba di"

Anyone who knows me knows I'm not the spookiest spookster. I'm more of a spring gal than a halloween spirit. BUT the greenman in the promo posters for the ArcheRage halloween events this year was so cute, I wanted to try bringing him to life.

I originally wanted to make this as a full cosplay but I was going to use towels for the body and I didn't have enough of the same colour. So I made a smol guy instead. It was my first time making a doll/plushie and figuring out how to make him inside out was tricky.

I recycled items from around my home to make him - Fairy lights from a home diy project that didn't work out, an old jumper and a plastic gashapon toy capsule.

I was having so much fun posing him that I have extra silly photos. These do not count towards the contest since the rules state 2-3 photos each.
They're just for silly fun!

A giant fluffy kaiju broke onto the set during our photoshoot!
Thankfully no greenman were hurt in the incident.

Greenman is gonna Alt+F4 your game and delete your character if you die in PvP!

He's just a smol guy.

He's so cute, I need to find somewhere to keep him.
For now, he can keep me company alongside Kirby while I play.

So as some of you know, I've been feeling poorly the past few days, and I managed to sleep through the party at which the pinata was decimated, so the only picture I have of it actually hanging is in my shower when I was putting on the eyes/mouth and hat details. this is before it was filled with candy but it looks done enough to pass as a final picture, I hope.

And the actual final final.

oh, and since I forgot to mention it on my vid contest entry.. I WANT BOTH TITLES PLEASE! lol

My submission is Perry the Pocket-sized Powerstone Pumpkin Pet

Perry was perpetually picked on by their peers for being so puny.
When a player would pick a pet, they would pass over Perry without even a peek.

But Perry's persistence paid off one particularly perilous night.
A player the size of a pixie with no pet to provide protections came and found Perry to be proportionately perfect!

The pair parleyed. A position was made;
and Perry finally got be the Powerstone pet for which he was made.
