Is anyone a pirate?
I've never actually played the game before, downloading it now. Just Curious

There are pirates currently but west going to give them a free Player Nation do growlgate will be dead

Pirates were pretty active here, the server actually has some changes that allow them to do more stuff than the 3.0 live server did like RD in karkasse and the custom hasla rift event. As matt said a new player nation is being formed with their help so the pirate faction will likely be significantly less active.

There is a pirate faction but that doesn't mean they actually play like pirates. As for people who use the sea to steal peoples cargo, yeah there are a few out there and I'm sure there are a few that want to do it more. Just be aware you are going to have to put time into gearing up and learning how to make gold before you can even dream about pirating.
