As Beck/Naggerknife suggested, I believe a 2x cost that really only applies to those who are consistent green pirates (occasional purplers usually just go to trial/do dailies) is more appropriate, to counteract the fact that honor gain is doubled, making purpling for packs less punishing. I also think a poll that has only one yes and four no options will be skewed.
 
This will be the way the infamy system functioned in 3.0b.
The server currently has 2x honor gains, so 2x cost of draughts will make it as it was.

you mean the other poll where there are 4 yes options and 1 no option and users can choose multiple options? the one where "no" is still winning?

"yes" voters literally get 4x the votes that "no" voters get and "no" is still winning. What's that tell you?

The change doesn't have to be simply because "it was this way on live". As you pointed out, we have custom changes on the server that improves the gameplay for most players. This would be another such custom change, if the players agree.

I do not believe it is a compromise on the 5x infamy mistake from today, but simply a good opportunity to bring up a possible change to ArcheRage for the community to decide on, since the subject was brought up.

As is, the costs for a draught are roughly the same as this patch on the official servers...

Agreed, but then it'd still be working as intended in 3.0b if I'm understanding you correctly
 
This is horseshit, you are singling one area out using the increased honor gain to make the cost of draughts higher in line with cost on live. This is a double edged sword. Simply double the cost of ALL honor prices in line with live then not one group is being singled out.

There's a significant difference between buying buffs and buying draughts. Totally different impact points on gameplay. So I don't see your point
 
Trying to force others to comply with how you want them to play is unacceptable and unfair.
The devs are under the impression that the infamy system is working as it was in 3.0b, which it is not because of the 2x honor. This is not a thread to force anyone to play a certain way, that's an outrageous accusation. I am in support of people purpling for profit, but the reaction of the community has obviously shown that the amount of time committed to running packs is not proportionate to the cost to steal them.
 
In fact you can go further. If your doubling the cost of draughts because honor is gathered twice as fast here compared to live, so spk for packs is easily overcome. Then it also means the labour cost and time reduction on growth of packs should be in line with the cost on live too!

That's unnecessary as we already have labor increases to support that.
 
This seems familiar. People band together to route pirating/purpling by taxing pirating which in turn takes content away from some. People quit due to people carebearing a PvP game.... how did that work out for Trion?
 
There is no difference between buying buffs and draughts for honor, the cost is halved for both because honor collected is doubled.
You want one area only to be in line with live and that is purpling. Thats biased to your politics in game.
