Question about Iron Ore/Ingots

I'm new to ArcheRage, though played a lot on Trion EU server.
I'm suprised how much Iron ore mined and it's still very expensive compared to old servers when they were 3.0
Actually iron prices equal to silver here.
Could anyone tell me why ?
There should be some logic behind this.

The Auction House clusters on retail back then had something like 6 servers contributing to its supply, increasing supply and therefore driving prices down. Not to mention the amount of bots on retail that were also increasing the supply of materials.
