Version check error

good night my game is showing this message on the laucher "Version check error" can anyone help me? I have reinstalled and deactivated the windows firewall, but it has already gone ahead.

not sure if i should make a new thread or just post it here but

around a few days ago (the winter festival patch/restart)
i have had the same issue, what I did was I spammed the login client over and over until it connected BUT
my issue now is that my ping has went up drastically and i'm unable to enjoy playing the game properly

has anyone encountered the same issue and found a workaround for this?

Edit: My ping went back to usual after today's restart (7am 12/27) :O
I was using pingzapper while i had the obnoxious lag though, oh well
