Sure, you don’t need to participate, you can just come to watch it, cheer for the participants or support a friend.

Tournament participants are divided into several leagues based on Gear Score Ranges, class (Melee/Mage/Healer/Archer) and quantity of entries:
  • Low equipment league:
    • Up to 3500 GS.
    • All classed join same group.
    • Weapon grade must not be higher then Celestial
  • High equipment leagues:
    • 3500-5000 GS. Players are welcome to NOW downgrade their gear to meet the max GS.
    • Participants will be divided into 3 groups according to their class: Melee/Mage/Archer. *The Healer class shall be 2v2 so healers pick a DPS class to join you!

Maximum Participants in 1 league: 8 players (may be changed)

Maximum time of a battle: 5 mins

Tournament stages:

This is really cool, it'd be even cooler if we had maybe a 5v5 of some sort, though the arena may not be big enough sadly.

I never played live, but it's really cool to see these smaller size communities be able to do events like this. Trion would never do something like this.

If everything goes well and we'll get enough Teams willing to participate in 5v5, we may add such part to the Tournament as well at a later date.

I wouldnt have allowed buff consumables, it would be better if you were only allowed self buffs from your skill trees. Some classes scale far better with food and potion buffs than others.

Can we have a very high equipment league 'pepe
We are just getting this started it will be an ongoing tournament, it might be added later we are just getting a feel for the interest we get, for now thou higher gear score players can still participate in the last tier by downgrading there gear score to meet the requirements.

Players with the higher GS than the maximum allowed one in the 1st league (5300 GS) can lower it to meet the requirements of that league.
That exception was added for the 1st league only.

Looks like this will take place in open world. Can we use gliders and mounts? Note mounts are classified differently than pets in game

I think allowing pets would be nice because it would open up the fight to healer players who wish to compete.
Enigmatists will thrive in this tournament. Leech and ded
No.

First off, the rules prohibit switching gear during the matches and in between, with the exception of a few honor weps. So if you decide to take a legendary weapon and reduce your armor to match the 5300 maximum requirement, then you're going to be hella squishy.
Secondly, pets add unnecessary chaos to the mix.
Thirdly, I've seldom seen an Enigmatist at 5.3k GS do much. The lower brackets are going to have an even easier time. Honestly, I can see Abolisher or Blighter coming out on top for the majority of these matches, especially in the lower brackets, due to their high resistance passives and high base damage. When it comes to low gear score, it's the base ratios on abilities that will really allow you to come out on top.

Dosent matter if u are squishy if u one shot everyone

Awesome to have pvp events like this, but deathmatch would mean all 8 fight at once wouldn't it? Regardless. Kudos. I would like to offer preemptive congratulations though to all the Enigmatist winners. Until they ban leech, there are only two classes that can win this.
