Improvements for Pirate Nation

Administration is activly nerfing Player Nation's in preparation for patch where Player Nation's gets removed. Following that logic, could we consider some improvements for Pirate Nation cuz in future patches Pirate Nation become actual playable side that can even join sieges.

My proposition is to add charcoal trader on Growlgate together with automatic cannons all around island to prevent delivering packs by other nations and secure it for pirates from they have bearly any safe spot to deliver pack for charcoal.

There was also idea to make growlgate land only for pirates but i have to say it here to ppl that may bring that idea, it will not work mainly from reason that anyone can make pirate alt character put that land on that character and not care.
- well there could be automatic cannnons all around housing zone that kill any nonpirate inside but that a bit mean ;)
- and every nonpirate would be send to that little jail on island and gate on that jail never open with disabled leaver for oppenning that jail doors.
- or just remove that nui completly and make ppl respawn on last land location, but 1st idea looks like mroe fun. just make gates double like in prison so they dont try ports and farm cart gliches.

The pirate nation is entirely revamped with changes from 5.0 on wards to where they are now in live.
No longer a punishment and can be considered an alternative nation.

Those changes are not something that would come any sooner than the updates they are apart of.
As for giving growlgate resources traders. Maybe

If you thinking about resource traders on growgate You should also consider implementing some more defence on entire island and cutting off portals in some way cuz we will have exacly same situation like old freedich with housing zone and that was mess funny mess but still seeing 40 ppl porting for 1 ship not nice for anyone who was actualy delivering that packs. Noone asks about future patches changes they come in time we know that, but some life quality changes for pirates would be nice like that nerfs you doing for PN's.

Oh one more thing, Guards were buffed in the past but with current conversion builds their damage mean nothing. Meaby there is another change needed ?

Guards were made to deal siege so people could not aggro them to ships and leave them like that till they left.
The only way to make them be able to kill conversion healers is have them apply 100% health reduction to the target. Such a change isn't something planned and affects everyone to some extent so I cannot say yes or no to it just from this request.
 
the cannons are a decent idea and making the respawn for non pirates not on growl is a great one. as far as pirate lands being for pirates only, its hard to implement and yeah there would be alts but there would be a landgrab for it first. if all nonpirate homes or even ALL homes on growl are demoed that gives ppl who actually play pirate an opportunity to get that land.

as far as nation is concerned. making sure any neutral guards are actually neutral to pirates. currently we cant go to golden ruins without being booped out of existence and its part of auroria. auroria guards should be set to full neutral for all factions. guards in neutral areas like ynystere tho that should stay with the same penalties. the game shouldnt be made different/easier for pirates as it is a choice that has pros and cons.

more quests that provide leadership/honor would be nice as well. having the daily unlock quests have less 'kill 100 mobs in hellswamp' would also be nice since we cant go there without risk of 40 min jail. maybe make the quest kill jellyfish or seabugs?

all in all pirate faction is OK as is but there are a few tweaks that would make it a bit less of a day to day grind.
 
Actualy packs for statue could be reverted to last patch who heard about pirates doing traderuns with cargo packs to build statue
 
In my opinion I would think that having a charcoal merchant or maybe even a pack crafter for Growlgate would be a good thing. i would also like to see the hero statue building process go back to the old way. having to make so much cargo to build the statue. the number of pirates and the number of active players on this server is far to low to require a 55 cargo statue build.
 
How about increased honor/leadership and how about good old portal from 1.5 to freedich from growlgate ? put inside of hero hall to avoid non-pirate portal abuse
 
But why ? Growlgate is far from freedich and there was portals at freedich border islands back in old patchs. since freedich is pirate island its logical for pirate to have portal there.

Cuz its broken and no effort mechanic that allow u camp one spot with dragon essence. It was removed for reason. And it just unhealthy to give one nation portal and not to all, over all its just bad.

But why? Player nations never had this type of guards protecting them, why would pirates need it?
Buffing pirates means u need to buff east/west trade outlets/traders aswell, but why would u tho

I dont know ask develoers why they placed pirate guards on Growlgate.
If u mean growling pirates, Growling pirates dont provide protection zone and traiding outlets do so u cant go more with protection from that point.
But if u mean that i some change would be needed for guards, ye obviously change is needed conversion build healers are better tanks then ships ever were. But u already seen Sjinderson response about that if there would be any change it would appy to all guards.

An island with only pirates would fall apart. If as a Nuian/Haranyan/Pending Collapseean/Endgamese you should be able to be kidnapped and sent to the pirate island where you are forced to join the pirate nation. Then the pirates can maybe get a shanty town with all the crafting stuff they need? Pirates getting their own jail for players they captured at sea? It would be scary and it would make the game feel like Kenshi, but it makes the Pirates feel like actual scary pirates and not just assholes here to blow up your boat.

Pirates historically just raided ships for the money, taken all the money to the town and got drunk, then got back on the boat to plunder some more. The only case I can think of Pirates being essentially their own nation is during the pirate times of Canton during Ching Shih, and the pirates of Erinoor are nowhere near sophisticated or developed enough to compete with the pirates of Hong Kong. This also points out that Canton existed before the Canton pirates took it over, so they had a city and a civilization. In the case of growlgate isle, it looks like some small military base they took over. It's not large enough to justify a pirate nation and if there was a real balanced nation of pirates it would probably need to be in a coastal city in one of the continents, like Caernord or Ezna. The only places corrupt or lawless enough to host pirates are Mahadevi and Hellswamp, but neither have any coast and pirates in those places would disrupt story quests. They should at least expand the pirate island and maybe give it a real town and housing province? Where will the pirates mine, farm, and craft otherwise?

You'd have to make it for pirate use only, not just place it in the hero hall. I can enter there np :') already took the worldgate to DS without problem before with all the guards around.

They have access to all of Auroria, there is plenty of crafting stations and housing there. They can also make a green alt and use that character for charcoal runs and mining like the pirates on live used to do. They also can do trade runs in Auroria although more dangerous but that is how they like it.

In that case you would make a green alt protected by your pirate friends until you get near the cannons. As of recent, Tempestuous (pirate) delivered packs in villanelle with his guild to the outlet and because that area is in peace the guards did nothing to him. There are work arounds you can do.
