ArcheRage 6.5 (development-release info + suggestions)

So one concern. Upgrading to t3 erenor costs a lot of essence, will there be enough essence going around considering the awakening/ayanad crafting for feed and the like? It already feels like a really low amount is in circulation and this is gonna make that worse.

It's not easy to catch up. You need a tremendous amount of luck, time, labor and gold (or money) to be able to do anything. The fact that only t1 awakening rates are boosted is bad. Rewards from daily quests are way too low. The market situation makes crafting T3 gems expensive for new players. Crystalization is something that could have been removed.

Something everyone has complained in AAU and Archeage for ages is that Serendipity Stones are too expensive and rare, we shouldn't be punished for trying to get the right stats in our gear, each one costs above 2k gold, so we either choose a T3 gem or a CHANCE to get one stat right. Serendipities need to be way way cheaper or added to credits for a reasonable price.

Another important part, awakening still takes labor to do. A new player with no labor pots stacked from months of playing has to choose wether to make a bit of gold or improve his gear. The current patch is definitely bad for catch up and it won't get any better in later patches because of the publishers/devs not wanting to make it better. Making people decide if they want to spend their labor on awakening/infusing their gear or making gold is a sure way to detour players from the game. It's the reason why current official game versions basically require you to have alts. We are time gated already, having a labor gate makes things worse.

Also, current AAU just boosted the rewards from doing Hiram dailies and weeklies. Doing that will only benefit newer players. Older players only need to take their gear to eternal if they haven't already. Tree and mammoth dailies give 20 scrolls each. Waterfall gives decrystalization scrolls and, overall, all the rewards got boosted to try to help new players catch up, because it is really discouraging for someone new to not be able to do anything.

If you want to help new players, consider keeping daily quests as well too for Hiram and/or boost the quest rewards. Majority of older players only need Garden infusions/T5 scrolls, which can only be obtained through the Garden.

And for last, new players have no choice of a good mount, glider and powerstone pet. If they started playing and they missed a good box, they are stuck with bad items. Consider adding a box that lets them choose one mount, one glider and one powerstone pet to keep. It will make things better.

This is coming from a player who quit AAU recently and came back. It would be good to learn from the mistakes the official game had.

My suggestions would be:

1. Boost awakening rates for the rest of the tiers except t5 and remove the labor cost for it.
2. Make serendipities cost 3,000 honor points instead of 30,000 honor points. Could add them for 200 credits each to the marketplace too.
3. Add more decrystalization scrolls for the Diamond Shores quest and/or half the cost from 10,000 honor points to 5,000 honor points.
4. Significantly boost the rewards (triple the amount of scrolls and infusions) from Diamond Shores/Exeloch/Sungold, WHM and EHM. Also, give us both the infusions and the scrolls. There's no point in making us choose a reward, just give us both.
5. Remove or decrease labor cost from awakening, identifying infusions and synthing gear.
6. Upgrade the returning player pack.

Catering to new, returning and casual players will keep the server alive and create a better experience for everyone else. Thank you.

The new cloaks don't have special stats. They get a 4th synthesis stat and a very small increase to current stats. Hero cloaks still have better stat amounts then the new t2 cloaks. So I'm not sure what it is you're asking for
If new cloaks will get +1 Synth Effect
Hero rewards cloaks should get another Synth effect as well

Resillience + Recived Healing vs Mov.Speed
what's the point of having the x12 M. Hero cloaks then?

They already have 5 stats. Which are each stronger then awakened cloaks. They don't need buffing

Hiram is getting some adjustments with 6.5 to make it better and easier for newer players.
Full details can't be revealed just yet, including adjustments to the support pack.

As for serendipity stones 3000 honor per stone is far too much of a reduction to be acceptable.

17500 honor for a stone?

I think 20k is a reasonable reduction while still not being absurdly easy to obtain

It may be, but the game is too punishing for trying to get the right stats you need for your gear. It shoudn't be too much of a hassle to get your correct stats or to reroll class. Previous AAU servers had serendipity stone events that gave players close to a hundred stones and it was honestly pretty well received.

They should be easily obtainable. Imagine a new player trying to roll for Costume, Undergarments, Noryette accesories, Hereafter Rebellion necklace, Hiram Ring and what not. Not only that but they would have to choose to spend honor between lunagems, decrystalization scrolls, buffs, upgrading cloak/necklace or serendipities.

definitivily serendipity stones should to be more cheap, new players can't deal with the amount of honor they need to use when they start , the gap gearscore should to be reduce, this shouldn't to be like AAU where takes you months to have the correct gear to be a little relevant and do content , 30k honor to re-roll stats it is too much for a new player, and , those re-rolls are RANDOM.

i suggest reduce the cost of serendipity stones to 3k,5k or 10k honor at least to have a better and progressive system for a new players.

If new playeres want to get correct stats on their hiram equipment their is explorers gear which provides an incredibly cheap method of obtaining correct stats already.

Serendipity stones are not being made 3/5k in cost. They have already had a custom adjustment to keep them even being tradeable.

It's not about hiram gear.

well talking now about the new changes , i suggest to increase the amount of scrolls and infusions per week, or , at least recieve both rewards and this should be include DS, exeloch, sungold, reedwind,WHM,EHM hiram quests.

now is manageable to change between infusions or scrolls as we need because the quests are dailies , but , with the new weeklies this could be a little difficult, to choose between infusions or scrolls every week so please take this into consideration .

I'm not even a new player but I do agree that unless you're willing to pull 1k-2k-3k+ USD and getting fully erenor to be relevant, hiram takes fucking months to awaken and infuse while being heavily labor intensive.

On AAU everyone hated being timegated but it was manageable for the first months because everyone or most people started on the same point, but the older a server gets, the more of a pain journey it is for new players to catch up, you will get absolutely steamrolled and destroyed by any player with 15k+ GS, and you will do 0 damage or be irrelevant for the next few months.

New players start with no such benefits as a Freighter, Merchant, etc - I get the point that you need to work to progress, but when you have to decide whether to make 2k-5k gold or less per day (for new players with no tools) or feed your hiram gear with the limited amount of resources that you have, while needing to either no-life or swipe constantly to only start to be relevant in a couple months, then there is a problem, no one likes being onetapped by a high GS player.

Making serendipities cheaper does no harm to anyone or the market, having so much heavily rng based shit on these korean games on a western community doesn't work at all, every MMORPG dies on the long-term because of this reason, AA shouldn't be a 2nd job to be able to start enjoying it.

Can we use the larders we make now to be used in auroria? Kinda dumb to separate the larders even tho they require the exact same mats and look exactly the same.
