With the introduction of Hiram conversion scrolls i think there is space to look at the idea of converting Erenor too.
The usual argument against Erenor conversion is the crafting cost of different pieces. If it were an easy conversion everybody would be crafting scepters and staves then converting to the more expensive metal weapons after. Obviously this cant be allowed, but its also super shitty for people stuck with 1Hs that cost a fortune to synthesise but are devalued by balance changes and evolving meta.
Since the actual cost of synthesis and exp for weapons is all the same, the solution is to make conversion scrolls cost enough that it simply isnt possible to game the system. Introduce erenor conversion scrolls that cost the same materials as the
*target* weapon.
For example, you have a scepter (or staff) but its time for a change, you want to play melee and a greatsword is what you want to be swinging. The recipe would cost the same as it would to craft that base greatsword:

You hit your weapon with the scroll and it gives you a cloaked greatsword, just leaving the stats to be unfucked as the player desires.
Its expensive as hell, so not a decision to be made lightly. But effectively the player is paying for a whole new weapon and transferring its grade/stats/gems/temper etc. And the cost of conversion allows a 1H>2H conversion to take place without the player somehow profiting from cheaper initial crafting costs.
